Murder Mystery Dinner
April 24 and 26, 2008

Requirements: over 21 years of age. Some improvisation required. Previous Murder Mystery experience a benefit but not necessary. Actors should be available for both performances.

Info:

The murder mystery is entitled, "Blow up the Bridges". ("Building Bridges" is the theme for one of the groups.) Actors at a murder mystery must be "on" during the entire evening. You will be required to do some improvisation and know your character thoroughly as the guests like to play detective and can sometime 'grill' the actors. On the flip side, sometimes they think you are just too weird and try to ignore you. Anyway you play it, it's always a lot of FUN! If you have a part that you have wanted to play.. now is the time to "act". The characters can still be adapted.

Auditioning

The only prerequisite is that on being awarded a part either on stage or backstage, you are to become a member of the PCT. Our yearly membership fee is $5.00.

Tips for auditions:

Please come prepared. It helps if you can do some research on your own about the play prior to auditions.
Auditions usually run for at least 3 evenings.

You may come to all or any one of the audition nights.

Some people find it useful to come to the first or second night auditions, just to get a feel for the play and the director's requirements then actually audition on a subsequent night.

It is also used by actors to fully develop the character they are portraying on stage. It helps to create a more realistic, in-depth character who is 3 dimensional.
